What!? It’s Nearly August!?

Posted in Uncategorized on July 26th, 2010 by Zach

August will soon be upon us and we’ve still got SO MUCH to get figured out! This year has definitely been full of ups and downs. Just a few weeks ago I was ready to throw in the towel and take a year off from haunting. Then things took a spin when I got the thumbs up to do the haunt again at our home. I’m currently working on getting everything figured out with the zoning and building inspector to make sure that everything is good to go.

I’ve also been working on getting some new t-shirt designs made for our volunteers as well as for our patrons to purchase – More on that later!

Just thought I’d give you all and update and say Front Yard Fright is still alive!!!

An Update

Posted in Uncategorized on April 19th, 2010 by Zach

I apologize for the lack of updates the past few months. There was some speculation of us not having a haunt this year and just wanted to clear up any rumors. We WILL have a 2010 haunt. However, as things look, a commercial location is out of the question. We simply don’t have the funds or resources to pull off such a large event. However, we are still able put together a fantastic show to scare the pants off of people this October!

We are still in the planning stages of this years haunt but I will be sure to keep you posted as we figure out more details!
Stay tuned!

Business Planning

Posted in Uncategorized on January 2nd, 2010 by Zach

I’m currently in the works of creating a business plan for our 2010 haunt. There’s SO much to consider when planning out a haunt, or any business for that matter. Luckily, I’m friends with many pro haunters that will hopefully prove to be a great resource for information. It’s just crazy to think that you’re supposed to give an estimate on costs years and years into the future. Crazy to think about! However, I know that after the business plan is create, it will prove to be an amazing source of information for the haunt’s future and expansion. I’ve already e-mailed a few friends asking questions on their plans and what they all included. I’m really excited to finally get to work on SOMETHING to get this project movingĀ  forward!

New Year and an Update!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 1st, 2010 by Zach

I hope everyone had a very happy and safe new years! Now that the new year is upon us, I plan on cracking down on figuring out what we’ll be doing for our 2010 show. I can’t believe it’s already time to get back to work! We’ve got a lot of stuff to consider, and we’ve got a long year ahead of us as well as a lot of work! We’ve got a couple locations in mind, we just have to get a business plan put together and get our funds in order. That alone is going to be quite the workload! If we don’t find a location to do a haunt, I’m toying around with doing a haunted hayride at first. Then hopefully get enough funds next year to do a full haunt.

These however are just ideas floating around. Nothing’s on paper yet, but that’s what I’ll be doing now that the holidays are over!

Stay tuned for more updates!
