Well this weekend we got back to work on getting some prep work done for the haunted house. Friday afternoon Brandon, Abraham, and myself got some work done on some new wall panels as well as getting our floor from last year cleaned up and prepped for reconstruction. We took all the boards from the floor and got all the screws and nails out of them, then at the end of the night my dad and I power washed all of them and cleaned them all up. Hopefully that way we can seal them and reuse them for this year!

Then today Kristin and Emily came over and we did some more work on the floor boards. We had some panels that were still assembled in storage so we drug them out and took them all apart and cleaned up all the boards.

Hopefully sometime this week I’ll get all the boards dried out and sealed up so I can get some floor panels put back together and back into storage. I’ll be sure to post any more updates if I do!

We are back on track with the planning of this years attractions. The House of SLaughter is mostly done as far as planning goes. The cemetery is in the process of being planned out. Home SCREAM Home is mostly planned out too… Just a couple ends to tie up. The major planning that is left is Toxic CHAOS. I haven’t gotten around to do much of anything with that yet. Hopefully in the next week or so I will get that at least started.

Construction hasn’t really started yet. It’s weird considering last year I we knee deep in projects. This year I’m more focused on the haunt structures rather than props so there’s not a lot I can do right now considering most of the things I have planned out are way too large to set up now. Although, I’m planning an all new mausoleum that will go in our cemetery that I plan on working on within the next week or so.

There’s loads to do and not much time to do it! Just over 120 days left until opening night 09! EEK!
